I've been working in encaustics for about two months now and I am thoroughly in love with wax. Encaustics allow me to work thin or thick, transparent or opaque -- I can scrape, carve or etch into the surface. I've been using original drawing transfers to embellish the surface to create paintings which reflect my love of nature.
